Margin is designed to keep a reading session on your device.

What stays local
Today, your typing progress, reading position, and preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage. Margin does not create accounts and does not send your typed Scripture, palette queries, or clipboard contents to an application server.
Analytics and error reporting
Margin uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate site-usage measurement. Margin does not configure custom analytics events and does not use error-reporting software. Typed Scripture, palette queries, clipboard contents, reading position, and preferences are not sent to analytics.
Feedback form
Margin’s Support page embeds a form provided by Tally. Information you choose to enter in that form is submitted directly to Tally for the Margin team to review. Please do not include the Scripture text you typed or other sensitive information. Tally’s handling of form submissions is described in Tally’s Privacy Policy.
Hosting
Margin is hosted on Vercel. Like other web hosts, Vercel may process ordinary technical request data needed to deliver the site. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy for its handling of that information.
Your choices
You can clear Margin’s saved progress and preferences from the Preferences panel. Clearing browser site data also removes locally stored Margin data. If you submit feedback, use the Support page to ask the Margin team about that submission.
